Job Description

Why This Role Exists

This role exists to own and optimize Salesforce platform configuration so that business processes scale reliably, securely, and without creating long-term technical debt.

This is a configuration-first role focused on platform governance and operational excellence, not custom development.

What You’ll Actually Do

  • Design and maintain scalable Salesforce configurations across objects, fields, page layouts, and record types

  • Manage and optimize profiles, permission sets, roles, and sharing rules

  • Build and maintain Flows, validation rules, and approval processes with attention to performance and maintainability

  • Evaluate business requirements and recommend configuration-first solutions

  • Monitor and improve data quality, deduplication, and data hygiene practices

  • Identify and prevent automation conflicts and performance issues

  • Support release cycles for configuration changes and perform impact analysis

  • Troubleshoot complex user and platform issues independently

  • Maintain clear documentation of org configurations and changes

  • Collaborate with developers where Apex or LWC is required

  • Enforce security and governance best practices across the org

Requirements (Core)

  • 3-5 years of hands-on Salesforce Administration experience

  • Strong practical expertise in:

    • Custom objects, fields, and relationships

    • Page layouts and record types

    • Validation rules

    • Flow Builder (record-triggered and screen flows)

    • Permission sets, profiles, and sharing rules 

  • Solid understanding of:

    • Salesforce security and sharing model

    • Automation order of execution

    • Data management and data quality practices

  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable configurations

  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

  • Experience supporting releases and change management

  • Clear documentation and stakeholder communication ability

Good to Have

  • Experience with:

    • Sales Cloud / Service Cloud

    • Basic SOQL for data validation

    • Change Sets or Salesforce DX awareness 

  • Experience working in environments with multiple integrations

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201 or equivalent)

Certification is a positive signal — real org experience matters more.
