As a Business Development Lead, you will be responsible for identifying and creating new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and developing strong relationships with potential clients and partners. You will be at the forefront of our expansion efforts, crafting go-to-market strategies, negotiating deals, and ensuring long-term relationships that benefit both the clients and the organization. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in sales, business development, and market research, combined with a passion for technology and an understanding of the software consulting industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a business development strategy that aligns with company goals, focusing on expanding market share and revenue growth.
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify potential clients, generate leads through networking, outreach, and other strategies, and qualify prospects based on business potential.
Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and effectively communicating the value of our products and services.
Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new industry trends, customer needs, and competitive opportunities to position our offerings effectively.
Sales Pipeline Management: Own and manage the entire sales cycle, from initial lead generation to deal closure, including follow-ups, negotiations, and contract management.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with the product, marketing, and engineering teams to align product offerings with client needs and market demand.
Negotiation & Deal Closure: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of service, ensuring win-win outcomes that support long-term relationships.
Reporting & Analysis: Track and report on key metrics, such as sales performance, pipeline health, and customer satisfaction, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
Team Development & Mentorship: Mentor junior business development associates, share best practices, and help build a strong, cohesive sales culture within the organization.
Requirements:
MBA or equivalent degree is required.
3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in the IT or software consulting industry.
Proven track record of generating leads, closing deals, and meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Strong understanding of sales processes, including lead generation, qualification, negotiation, and deal closure.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and execute tactically to achieve business goals.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite.
Passion for technology and an understanding of software solutions and industry trends.
